Every Hawaiian island has something different to offer, so by taking a cruise you
have the ideal opportunity to see as many of them as possible.
Then you can experience more Hawaiian activities such as surfing on O’ahu, playing
golf on Maui, sea kayaking off Kaua’i and volcano hiking on the big island of Hawaii.
The Hawaiian Islands
O‘ahu
O‘ahu - The Gathering Place: People have been gathering
here since the early days of Hawaii’s kings and queens. And still they come to enjoy
the sophisticated resort ambience of Honolulu, relax on fabulous Waikiki Beach,
surf the monster waves on the North Shore and visit the Arizona Memorial at Pearl
Harbour.
Hawaii
Hawaii - The Big Island: Hawaii is twice as big as all the other islands combined
– no wonder there’s so much to see and do. There’s Volcanoes National Park and the
constantly erupting Mt. Kilauea; then there is the lush beauty of Waipi‘o Valley
with its cascading waterfalls, snowcapped Mauna Kea and cowboys riding the range
at Parker Ranch.
Kaua‘i
Kaua‘i - The Garden Isle: The gorgeous island of Kaua‘i has stunning scenery, from
the forested slopes of Mt. Wai‘ale‘ale to the 3,500-foot depths of Waimea Canyon,
cascading waterfalls to quiet beaches – one 17 miles long. The backdrops in the
films South Pacific and Jurassic Park were filmed here.
Maui
Maui - The Valley Isle: From the heights of 10,000-foot-high Mount Haleakal¯a to
more than 30 miles of black and white sand beaches, everywhere you look there are
the rare orchids and exotic flowers that make Maui one of the world’s most romantic
islands. Spend the day on the beach at Ka‘anapali or shopping in charming Lahaina,
once an important Pacific whaling port.
Fanning Island
Fanning Island is way out in the Pacific in the Republic of Kiribati and its 1,600
inhabitants will give you one of the warmest welcomes you’ve ever had. Get back
to basics on Napali Beach, where lazing in a hammock, snorkelling in crystal-clear
lagoons and sea kayaking is as busy as it gets.
Cruises to the Hawaiian Islands
Ten night fly-cruises are about the minimum duration required given the flying time
from the UK.
NCL America’s fleet is made up of US-flagged ships making it the only cruise line
which can sail throughout Hawaii without having to call at a non-US port so passengers
travel free of the hassle of island transfers, and safe in the knowledge they only
have to unpack once.
