Luxury line Yachts of Seabourn is demonstrating its commitment to British cruise
passengers by choosing to name its newest ship in London.
The ultra-luxury Seabourn Sojourn – which will bring the fleet up to five vessels
- will be unveiled at a special ceremony in the capital in June 2010 before sailing
on a 14-day maiden voyage.
Seabourn Sojourn will be the second of three 450-passenger vessels being added to
Yachts of Seabourn’s fleet of intimate, yacht-like cruisers.
The larger ships are enabling the company to expand itineraries and destinations
served from its original fleet of three 208-passenger yachts, Seabourn Legend, Pride
and Spirit.
Sailing from Greenwich on its maiden voyage, ports of call by Seabourn Sojourn include
the Faroe Islands, Iceland and the Norwegian fjords. The ship will then run a series
of departures from Dover and fly-cruises from Copenhagen during summer 2010.
The Seabourn fleet has won numerous awards and consistent acclaim for highly personalised
service, all-suite accommodation, cuisine and delivery of the most desirable destinations
worldwide while offering exceptional value for money.
The first, Seabourn Odyssey, made its debut in Venice in June and a third is due
in 2011.
Seabourn Sojourn will have 225 suites, 90% of which have private verandahs. Top
of the range suites include Wintergarden Suites with private conservatories and
verandahs, and Signature Suites with sweeping verandahs and unrivalled views facing
forward.
All suites feature separate living areas and bedrooms, writing desks with personalised
stationery, iPod and MP3 connections and spacious granite bathrooms with separate
bath and shower and twin sinks.
A two-deck, state of the art spa features Spa Villas which can be reserved for hours
of pure indulgence and relaxation.
The new vessels offer four dining venues, including a spacious open-seating restaurant.
There are six bars and lounges serving a full range of beverages including fine
wines and spirits as part of the cruise fare.
