Premium line Celebrity Cruises’ two newest and largest ships – Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Solstice – are to offer European fly-cruises mainly in the Mediterranean next summer.
Celebrity Equinox will also run two 10-day cruises from Southampton – to the Norwegian Fjords and to Rome.
Completing the Celebrity line-up in Europe for 2009 will be Century, Constellation and Summit offering itineraries ranging from Scandinavia and Russia, Artic Circle and North Cape, Eastern and Western Mediterranean and Ancient Empires voyages taking in Israel and Egypt.
The 2,850-passenger Celebrity Solstice will feature the first Lawn Club on a cruise ship, enabling passengers to play boules and crocquet on an expanse of grass the size of eight tennis courts.
Cabins on board the ship are 15 per cent larger than on other Celebrity ships and feature additional storage space.
Solstice also boasts 130 AquaClass cabins where passengers have unlimited access to steam rooms and saunas.
With a passenger-to-staff ratio of 2:1, Celebrity prides its self on the quality of service designed to make you feel like the only guest on board.
Combining traditional European hospitality with engaging service, Celebrity is regularly rated highly by such influential magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler.
A wide range of activities and amenities are available on every deck, designed to relax, rejuvenate, enrich and entertain.
The line also sails in Alaska, Bermuda, Canada, California, Caribbean, Europe, the Galapagos Islands, Hawaii, Mexican Rivera, Panama Canal, South America, Australia and New Zealand.
