First time on OV2 and was a bit disappointed, I have sailed on the OV1 three times before and liked the layout of it better, I like the concept of dressing down but some people take it too far. The spa and sauna were beatiful but I'm afraid at £70 a couple was too expensive and the weather was to nice to spend time indoors. The entertainment was average the same singers repeated the same songs in different bars and the nightime outside show was cancelled due to bad weather. The food was good and the cabin was ok but the balcony was disappointing as you could not see anything while sitting down,if you cant afford a glass fronted balcony I would'nt bother paying the extra cost. The ports of call were great(this was the main reason for booking this cruise. Istanbul was clean friendly and very cheap we took the tram to the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar it cost 1.50 Turkish Lira which was about 50p you can buy as many tokens as you want and just hop on and off the very frequent trams(take turkish money with you for the trams but they will take Euros at the Bazaar). We have visited Athens before and it is a euro on the metro and stops within walking distance of the Acropolis it was 12 euros or 6 euros for pensioners to enter. Rhodes was a 10 minute walk to Elle beach 4 Euros for sun lougers and a brolly.
Kusadasi was the same and great for shopping but remember to haggle don't buy the Turkisk delight it is a rip off. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach at Mytelene was 1,20 euros to enter and free sun beds and brolly - don't try to find Lidl's as there is a sign for it near the beach but it is miles away.
